Maedell has been hired as a guest artist by the School of Theatre, Film, and Television at the University of Arizona, Tucson to play the role of Amanda in The Glass Menagerie. Details to be posted soon!

HAMLET at KINGSMEN SHAKESPEARE

Hamlet opens Friday, July 19 and plays for three weekends, closing Sunday, August 3, outdoors in beautiful Kingsmen Park on the campus of California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, CA. Harold plays the Player King.

Harold to appear with Kingsmen Shakespeare in California this summer!

Harold will be in the acting company of the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival this summer. This festival is located on the campus of California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA.  The shows are performed outdoors, under the stars!

Harold will play Prospero in The Tempest (a role he played in January for Southwest Shakespeare at the Mesa, AZ Arts Center).  He will also appear in Hamlet, as the Player King. Michael Arndt will direct The Tempest, and Brett Elliott will direct Hamlet.

The Tempest opens June 28 and closes July 14.  Hamlet opens July 19 and closes August 4.

Harold and Maedell starring in FIRST KISSES

Harold and Maedell will star in the two character play FIRST KISSES at the Invisible Theatre in Tucson, AZ. It tells the story of Mary and John, who meet when they are 11 and tells their story until they are 72. A real tour-de-force for the Dixons!! Dates and times are on the poster below.

WINTERFEST!! The Tempest and Hamlet!

Here is the poster for The Tempest at Southwest Shakespeare Company, together with my new headshot showing my white beard, which is the look for Prospero in The Tempest.  I will also be playing the Ghost of Hamlet's father/Player King/Gravedigger in Hamlet.  The two shows will play in rotating repertory in January at the beautiful Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, AZ. I am very excited about this grand project.

If you can come to one or both shows, come around behind the theatre to the stage door afterwards and say hello!
